A Manic Panic Shidduch?

I know it's none of my business, but when I saw this photo on Jewlicious yesterday, everything fell into place.

This is my pal Aaron's dream girl.

Check out him reading his poem at Mimamaakim's Def Midrash Jam last year, or check out the text of the poem, and you make the call.

According to her blog, she's moving to Israel this summer. Better act fast, brother!

Just to make the connection, I know Reebecca, Leibish, and ahem...Chazarmaveth, the Pig of Death himself. Can we call him the Pig of Life after his firstborn child (b'sha tovah) is born?

Yo, which Ezra is this?

well ezra... if the real chazarmaveth's parents had the...chutzpah? morbidness? insanity? to name their newborn son after a courtyard in which follks would sit and peacefully await their miserable earthly demise (see green sidebar for more details), i don't think that keeping the "deathpig" moniker throughout the birthing of my own son/daughter could possibly deflate anyone's simcha... which reminds me... any blblical naming suggestions?

Rebecca,
Ezra, Liz Alpern, Ezra
(that make sense?)

Big Maveth,
I've always fancied Yerachmiel, that or Yonky

Is this Aaron guy single? From the sound of his poem, he sounds married!

thanks rebecca -- dael's pretty great, actually -- i've been favoring arpachshad myself lately, but only time will tell...

anonymous, don't let the poem fool ya -- it is a poem, after all -- my boy Aaron (who hasn't chimed-in here yet, amidst repeated e-promptings) is definitely a free agent... for now...

p.s. i know ashara too -- she was my wife's suitemate in Har Nof for a short jaunt... sighhh... jewish world's so small, ain't it?

arpachshad rocks. and so does ashara. and chazarmaveth, do your friend aaron a favor and lay off the poor guy. if i were him, uh, i would be a little freaked out by your blogger-shadchan attempts. in fact, i am a little freaked-out by your blogger-shadchan attempts. no worries though. if you're buds with leibish and ashara, i'm sure you have good intentions..

No, Rebecca,
Chazarmaveth is a little freaky...

dude... i was just flipping through the Artscroll Tanach, looking for baby names (why else would one "flip through" the Tanach?), and in the back, next to the Index, there's a pronunciation key for the Hebrew-to-English transliterations of all the Biblical names. One of the names, I freakin' kid you not, was "Yedai HaChozeh", or "Jedi the Seer."
and rebecca, don't be freaked out. you had a pink sheitel. my pal's poem was about a girl who had pink hair under her sheitel. he's also featured in the Mimamaakim poetry slam this year, which I wanted to plug. it was s'posed to be a compliment, hon!

I actually found the Death Pig's shadchan attempt incredibly cute and endearing (and with any luck I'll get to thank him tonight at the Mima'amakim poetry reading at Bowery Poetry Club at 7 tonight), but I don't know... any girl who's wearing a wig before she's wed may just be a bit too frum for me.
